Employee Management

The Employee module is the heart of Kova. It's where all employee data lives and connects to every other module.

Employee Directory

The directory (**Employees → Directory**) shows a searchable grid of all active employees with:

  • Avatar, name, and job title
  • Department and manager
  • Work location and employment type
  • Filter by department, employment type, or location. Click any card to view the full profile.

    Employee Profiles

    Each profile includes tabs for:

  • Overview — Personal info, job details, emergency contacts
  • Documents — Uploaded files (contracts, IDs, certifications)
  • Leave — Leave balance and request history
  • Performance — Review scores and feedback
  • Custom Fields — Organization-specific data
  • Org Chart

    The interactive org chart (**Employees → Org Chart**) visualizes your reporting structure. Click any node to expand or collapse teams. The chart auto-updates when you change manager assignments.

    Change Requests

    Employees can submit change requests for personal information updates (address, phone, bank details). HR admins review and approve changes before they take effect.

    Self-Service Portal

    Employees access their own portal to:

  • Update personal information
  • View pay stubs and tax documents
  • Submit leave requests
  • Complete assigned tasks and courses
  • Track XP, badges, and streaks
